What is your jewellery made of?

Gold-tone and silver-tone plated metal. Stones are cubic zirconia, and pearls are simulated. We do not sell solid gold, sterling silver, diamonds or precious gemstones, and we will never describe our pieces as though we do. Every product page lists the exact materials under Materials.

Will it turn my skin green?

Not under normal wear. The most common cause of skin discolouration is moisture trapped between the piece and your skin — so take jewellery off before showering, swimming or working out, and dry your skin before putting it back on.

How long will the colour last?

With reasonable care, years. If it fades within six months, our colour guarantee covers a free replacement. Follow the four rules on the care page and you will get far more life out of it than most people expect from plated jewellery.

Can I shower or swim in it?

No. Chlorine and saltwater strip plating off anything, at any price point. Take it off first — it takes four seconds and doubles the life of the piece.

Is it safe for sensitive ears?

Most people wear our earrings without any issue, but we cannot guarantee it for every skin type. If you react to costume jewellery generally, start with one pair before ordering more.

What does the 6-month colour guarantee actually cover?

If the finish fades, dulls or discolours within six months of normal wear, we replace the piece free. You do not need the original packaging — just a photo and your order number. It does not cover damage from swimming pools, showers, bleach or perfume sprayed directly on the piece.
